Perth Mint has issued a 2 oz. pink gold coin depicting a sunset at Kimberley in Western Australia. The coin is minted in magnificent high relief and celebrates Western Australia’s breathtaking wilderness. The obverse depicts the bust of Queen Elizabeth as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley along with the denomination in words. The reverse displays the iconic Baobab tree against a stunning Kimberley landscape sunset. An Argyle pink diamond symbolising the setting sun is embedded near the horizon.This stunning coin has an extremely low mintage of only 500 pieces. It contains 2 Troy oz of Gold and has a denomination of AU$500. The gold content in the coin is 91.67% with copper making up the rest. The Argyle pink diamond is between 0.035 and 0.040 carats. The coin weighs 67.9 grams and measures 36.6 mm in diameter.
